Clunking - rattling sound at freeway speeds

I noticed a clunking, rattling sound that seemed to emanate from passenger side. I thought maybe suspension glitch or something stuck on the wheel. Got to a place where I could take a peek.

The cover for an access point had “opened itself”. Seems like a poor design decision.
