Honest question - have you tried to get healthcare? For something where you have a serious medical need, there might not be any appointments for a LOT longer than 3 months. This is 2025 and times have changed. If there isn’t a bunch of class action lawsuits for that stuff against insurance companies, good luck with suing Rivian.

If the vehicle is not drivable or has a serious issue, they will literally tow you on the same day you report it. The longer wait times are for less urgent issues, and as they build more centers, it has been improving. SoCal was once a total disaster but now they are getting vehicles in and out within a few days of dropping it off, not like the previously wait time of many weeks baking in the sun and bird droppings. So they are trying, and its showing.
Even if drivable things are not currently bad in SoCal.

I just had grease leak I noticed when rotating my tires from my left front half-shaft. Got an appointment in a week, in and out the same day.

That is about what Tesla is right now.

While I hate the long wait times and I experienced those myself, I would NOT even entertain the idea of a lawsuit (class-action or whatever) to sue Rivian for it.

If I don't like Rivian's wait times, I have to options now: A) Wait - B) Sell my Truck.

Hence, I would not cost them a penny, I rather them spend those pennies in improving their products (Service Center being one of them)

I cost them $90k when they bought back my vehicle due to SC incompetence and making me suffer through a year of ownership. Oopsies 🤷

as for class action I just wanted the vehicle gone and that’s about the extent of the energy I will put into Rivian personally but would love to see them pay out a large sum to yall.

from my perspective at this point I’m pretty sure the entire company is designed as some kind of fraud to do the bare minimum to mooch off of whatever government credits they’re getting to and allow the Saudi investors to dump their bags, I am assuming there will be no improvements to anything and that they will continue doing PR and marketing things to build hype then eventually file for bankruptcy. I guess basically like Fiskar 2.0

I’m not even an owner yet and I understand that Rivian is still in the early adopter phase. Patience is essential, especially if you believe in the company and what they are trying to accomplish.

It’s clear to me that the company is doing all that they can to bring their vision to reality.

Think big picture.

Can you explain the rationale for suing them? How is that going to speed up service times? Or is it just punishment?
People love suing, some lawyer gets in their ear and hypes up the class action, hoping for a settlement which the law firm is the only one who makes money.

I get it, service sucks, service centers are far and few options... but you bought the car knowing this, you have another company in this space that has had similar challenge during growth and even today (Tesla). Suing helps nothing... if its really that bad, file a lemon law and try to get out of the car completely.

Wasn't Fisker already "Fiskar 2.0" ?

But your putting energy into a Rivian message board? They must be living rent free.

Posting a couple times a day to help people out who are suffering with the vehicle is more chill than a lawsuit.

Fiskar (the most recent incarnation anyway) basically sold the dream then took the money and ran. Rivian is actually delivering vehicles, servicing them, and has built Service Centers. Rivian also has plans for their next-gen vehicle(s). Nothing at all alike!

I would call Rivian service support to get service scheduled. The service centers have access to appointment times that aren't listed in the app.
