For some reason the only way I can see the current temperature inside the cabin on the app is if I remotely start the climate control. Even if I wake the vehicle if won’t show the current temp. Is this by design?

Mine started doing this intermittently the previous update. And now with the latest update, it has no idea what's going on.

I'll get to work and realize "hey it's hot, let me vent the windows" and it still shows the mileage remaining from before I left home. Then I'll get home and open the app to adjust charge or something, and it still shows as the fans spinning and climate set from when I tried to precondition the vehicle before work (despite the fact that it was sitting in my garage charging).

So...yeah, I don't know, and since Rivian doesn't give us a good place to submit bug reports, I'm not going to bother contacting service for these petty reasons, but it is sort of...frustrating.

Have you tried resetting the app and phone? I only ask because you didn’t mention it and this could be the app/phone misbehaving rather than the vehicle.

Sure have!

It's so totally random and intermittent that I rather believe it's more of a communication problem between the vehicle and the Rivian network and/or Rivian network to my phone. Because there are times that those things work perfectly fine.

It's sort of how sometimes I get in and my seat goes exactly where it's supposed to. But sometimes (like this morning), it just stayed in the 'roomy exit' position and I had to toggle between my wife and my profile to get it to work.
