I recently was on the phone with Rivian Service. They had me perform an infotainment reset and a hard reset. When I did the hard reset, it took much longer than usual. So long that even the person on the other line felt like it was weirdly long? It turned back on. Since then the bouncy ride that I hated when I first got the R1S, that was fixed with a previous update, has seemingly returned. Is there any chance that you can lose features from a previous update, or lose a previous update completely?

off topic: I notice that the R1S will drip AC condensation when backing out of the drive way, but never when it's in the garage or in a parking lot/ flat surface. Is this normal? Thank you in advance.

Is the app build number the same as before? Can find in the app by scrolling down to vehicle updates window.

Regarding losing functionality, I haven't heard of the full system reverting builds but certainly some people have had positive and negative changes via updates as Rivian tries to find the happy medium for everyone. Ie suspension changes for one use case may feel like a negative to a different driver

I think the question is, can a hard reset cause some features to be disabled. (Not applying an update…)

Check this guy out— his suspension became stiff after a hard reset. Scroll up and he explains how the “stretching” fixed his suspension stiffness.

Hi, thanks for going through the trouble of finding this. I will definitely try this weekend. The bouncing is bad enough that I hate driving it! Thank you again.!

Not sure if my issue is the same as yours but my suspension has been overly stiff for quite some time. Wondering now if it could be CV or bearing issue.

"I notice that the R1S will drip AC condensation...." The most likely reason is level of humidity.

The RIDE menu shows all the pressures of the struts. Might be a way to diagnose something like that.

I noticed this after the hard reset. I haven't tried the "flexing" yet but plan to and hope it works because I've been loving the way it drove.

How do you get to the ride menu? Is there a "normal" value to expect?
Thanks!

Hi,
Do you only see the condensation coming out when you are backing down a drive way? I worry that its not draining condensation? My gas vehicles show condensation from AC use on any surface, flat or otherwise. Thanks!

Settings, service mode on, tap top menu bar 5x, swipe from bottom and open ride app, tap on quote 5x, 33748, diagnostics, air suspension and kinetic system
