California DMV Registration Renewal

DMV never sent a notice for my lightning either. My buddy with a rivian never got a notice either. I’m guessing might be related to these trucks being classified as commercial because of their weight. I’ve set an annual reminder to pay to avoid the penalty in the future.

My R1T has been arriving in the mail. BTW- the R1Ts are commercial because of the bed. They also have an additional weight fee because of being a heavy truck. No bed is the reason the R1S is not registered as commercial and is about $200 cheaper.

FWIW, I got my renewal notice in the mail like normal and paid online. I have a R1T. Renewal was $1,085.

Received my first mailed renewal for March (3rd year is a charm). Maybe California DMV finally fixed it.
