are these exempt from CCP interference? cell phones, tablets, penile implants, pace makers, tin foil hats etc.????? The Count doesn;t care if the Politburo knows when and how often he goes to the Giggly Room.
Rivians are free from CCP interference. BYDs made in Mexico are not.

Stellantis: Brightening with Stars.

Face it, America has its share (or maybe more) of stupidly named things. DOGE anyone?
Stellantis is not American.

The smart move would be for the US government to help our American brands secure funding, grow our charging network and source materials to develop our own brands to compete.

Oh wait.... we had that until Jan 20th.

Those things scare me. Our industry is not competitive against Chinese cars. There is no room for them. They build a more affordable vehicle and most Americans gravitate towards that. I've owned NIO and BYD stock and those companies are no joke.

Which would take years to bear fruit under best circumstances. Not a chance in hell now!

Looks like it ripped off both Ford and Toyota with styling cues. That’s the biggest problem with China cars. They look like they blatantly copied the homework assignment and that bothers me.

The fact that China doesn’t respect IP law and steals from other countries makes all their stuff unattractive to me.
You know all the car companies hire engineers from all the other car companies, right?

But you aren't wrong about lack of respect for IP.

I know it's not "American" (but Stellantis), but nothing beats the Alfa Romeo Toenail, er, sorry, Tonale.

DOGE actually stands for....Government services a department created by OBAMA Trump used the name because it was already approved by previous president... Look it up ain't no lie. Wikipedia will tell all
So, quoting wikianything is a huge mistake, but here just egregious. Doge, prior to this administration, referred to the digital/cyber currency established in 2013. The D.O.G.E is a non-constitutional, fictitious government agency founded with the specific purpose of deleting itself by 7/4/26 through massive dismantling of long established government agencies and entitlements.

Put a Ford Bronco next to a Jeep Wrangler and make this argument.
Sure, they don't look like direct copies. Both are small off-road vehicles, but it's obvious they use different parts. That was a poor choice of vehicles to compare. I don't think you're getting what I mean by copying.

In an (likely futile) attempt to pull this thread back to the subject of TRUCKS here on the Rivian truck forum, the JAC Hunter is also about to hit the export market to challenge the world of full-sized PHEV trucks. Australia seems to be ground zero for interesting new trucks from around the world. (Side note: articles note that the Shark and Hunter are not sold in China, only made there and exported.)
