bug on rear screen lock (fw 2024.51.01)

The rear screen can not be locked/unlocks on it s own after each restart since fw 2024.51.01 on gen 1.
And as seen on the picture, while it appears on the front screen to be locked, it really is not. ( Sorry for the poor picture)
My kids are disrupting all settings when they have access to the rear screen...

There used to be a bit of a performance hiccup on the last 2024.47 where if the screen was locked and you were casting a video on the main screen and someone (my daughter) double tapped the rear screen to bring up Gary, the stream would stutter though his entire animation. I haven't checked if that was resolved yet with this update.

This title is misleading, I was expecting a dead cricket or other bug smooshed on the rear screen, causing the lock button to not work.

My R1T just installed 2024.51.01 over night and I'm also having this issue where the rear screen is unlocked every time I get in, even though the setting on the center display shows it is locked. I haven't tried a full restart yet but will after I get home tonight.

And in case it makes any difference, this is a Gen1 quad.

Same issue for me and soft reset didn’t fix it. If you turn lock off and then back on it works for that drive only. The next time you get back in the screen will not be locked despite the front screen saying it’s locked. So it takes the toggle on and off each drive…

Yep. Kids got into the car and locked the doors on me from the rear screen ...

I did a full restart (left button & hazard) and it may have resolved this. I left it alone for about an hour while it rebooted and when I just checked on it the rear screen was actually locked.

Same - will try the hard restart in the AM. Kids locking the door was fun as I loaded them up…

Hard reset with left button and hazard didn’t work for me.

I got the 2024.51.02 update last night. I did a hard reset this morning. Did not fix the issue. I opened a service ticket last week. Had one call that suggested the hard reset to fix. They called me back today to check in and since the hard reset didn’t fix it they suggested a diagnostic tech visit, but I have an in person appointment around the same time they could get a tech to me (early April) and I’ll just deal with it then. I alerted the guy on the phone to the existence of this thread and the fact that it seems to be a software, not a hardware issue. He said he would bring that info to his supervisor, so maybe we’ll get a fix in the next update. My kids are driving me crazy messing with the screen.

I just dropped my truck off at the service center for a different issue. They acknowledged this is a known bug and should be fixed in the next update.
