I've put just under 1,000 miles on my new tires, and while these are preliminary thoughts, I'm generally very pleased with the new Duelers. I'd rate them a solid 8/10.
Bridgestone promotes their new Enliten technology, which is designed to enhance efficiency, although these tires aren't specifically tuned for EVs. I've noticed a slight drop in efficiency compared to the OEM Pirellis, with a range reduction of about 3%. However, there have been many variables, including a decrease in temperature. Traction and efficiency noticeably improved after the tires had broken in around 500 miles, and I'm hopeful they might improve further with more miles.
In terms of ride quality, they meet my expectations for an all-terrain LT tire. The steering response is comparable to the OEM tires, and the truck feels solid through corners with excellent grip on both dry and wet pavement. They are substantially quieter with a small hum at around 50 mph. Also, on good pavement, they nice and smooth.
I experimented with the tire pressure, going up to 60 PSI, but finally settled on 52 PSI cold. The ride quality is slightly stiffer, as expected from an LT tire, and aligns with reviews I've read for other brands in the same category. The difference in ride quality isn't necessarily negative; I feel more confident tackling potholes, and the tires seem very durable. I no longer worry about taking the truck off-road on rocky terrain, as I've heard many people have had issues with Pirelli sidewall punctures.
I've received several compliments on the aesthetics of the tires. They have an aggressive look, but not overly so.
A major deciding factor for choosing these tires was the convenience of purchasing and having them installed at my local Costco, as the nearest Discount Tire is about an hour and a half away from where I live.
I am very happy with the purchase and have no regrets. I would still choose these over the other LT tire options. The only remaining tire out there that I am still wondering about is the SL version of the Toyo EV’s. While it doesn’t seem likely, if these tires are eventually able to match the OEM in efficiency after breaking in further, I will be over the moon.
I hope this helps but if you have other questions, let me know and I will do my best to respond.
