Why would you expect a dealer to sell you parts at cost?

Yeah, these prices aren't bad for a lux vehicle at all. I think the shop rate might be a little high.
I would have asked them to do the brake fluid if hasn't been done in the past year or so.
What about the condition of rotors? If you have uneven pad wear, there must be something also going on with the rotors
Rotors are fine, I believe wear is from lack of lube on pins for early builds, something folks have discussed in other threads.

Seems fine but then again the Germans charge way more for the same thing. How many miles?
How many miles on your R1T?

Thanks for sharing - good to know the costs.

Slightly generic comment - I would have thought Rivians (or all EVs) would have very long brake pad life - unless one does not enable aggressive or moderate regen in which case the brake pads will get used a lot and for a heavy vehicle. .

On my Model S, it was > 100K miles before pads needed change - that too - I had to ask for it - dealer wasn't keen - they said there is still life left. Granted Rivian is 2K lb heavier, but also the regen is stronger/motors are bigger. I expect my R1T to have a long brake / pad life!
57k miles

3 years, that's what...50k miles? Inside pads are worn on all four corners? How much extra? For sure there must have been a lot of pad left, and wearing unevenly on all 4 corners would be really odd. Shouldn't have needed brake pads on an EV with that low mileage. I would expect 100k out of the pads easy.

A new set of ceramic pads front and rear is $80 total on RockAuto. Semi-metallics are even less. I wonder what pad compound the OEM pads use?
57k miles, without measurements or photos (should've kept them) it's about twice as worn in one direction as the other, laterally.

I can't find anything for Rivian on the Brembo site, so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Being in the parts business for almost two decades I agree that, as luxury/dealer pricing goes, this isn't half bad. Go to Mercedes for brake pads for your GLS and you'll pay $472.

This is the reason the 7,500 "inspection" is important. I am sure if you caught this lets say at 15k or 22.5k they would warranty all items. I was very concerned about this and will be doing one at 22.5k again to make sure wear is even. No reason all 4 should be wearing early on inside. You should get 125k out of a set of pads on the Rivian if wearing evenly.

I would replace the fronts myself and the rear I would have them do. Will save you a lot of $$$.

That tracks. My 2015 Model S had pads seized in the front calipers, likely from lack of lube and the salt from it being a Wisconsin car. I almost wished I'd taken it in for that service as it was pretty annoying to get the pads out, but still, almost. The service center penalty with Tesla is way worse with brakes than Rivian.

I’m seeing a lot more brake pad wear / dust than with my Model Y. I wonder why? I’m supposedly mostly only using regen except when HOLD or in park. I have the regen assist off.

False. No warranty. That's price with out pads. With pads it's 2k. There are about 5 other discussions about this.

Those service times didn't come out till I was at like 30k, it was an adventurous first year haha.

That's a good idea, maybe I'll cut the fronts from the order. I at least want them to flush the fluid, I'm capable but don't like doing it.

Which part is false? This is direct from the work order. It breaks down parts and labor cost. This hasn't been completed yet, just drafted for me to sign.
