What boats are you guys towing with your Rivians?

I’ve got a 2017 Scout 251XS bay boat I’ve now towed around a little with the R1T.

Running at 70 mph I was getting .87 m/kWh, but at 60 mph more like 1 m/kWh. Tows like a dream, but surge brakes on a boat trailer mean you can’t adjust the gain on the trailer brakes.

You can convert those surge brakes to electric over hydraulic, highly recommended especially for larger craft. Bonus that you have such a nice Load Rite which is also worthy of the EOH. Is it currently discs?

Definitely. But my mounts were not fitting the rivian crossbars well, and loading/unloading off the roof solo is a pain. This was a short drive so it worked ok as a temporary solution.

Arima Sea Explorer 1511. Getting around 1.4-1.7 mi/kWh depending on driving speed (uses more energy to go faster).

1991 Barefoot Sanger, repowered with a 2016 Evinrude G2 250HO. ~3klbs. The boat lives at the lake in the summer so I haven't towed it farther than the 500' to the launch and back to its parking spot to see what I'll get for kwh/mi.

Love this shot. GM would pay you a bundle for the copyright so they can use it in their Silverado EV mid-gate commercials. Rivian really need to make a raised crossbar for the back of R1T. This is one of the reasons I opted for R1S.
