Quick question - when playing music using bluetooth via an iPhone, the center display on the R1T displays the music titles on the screen. When I push a song title on the screen, however, the music does not change to that song. The only way to change the song is either through the left steering wheel button or by selecting a new song on my phone. Is this normal behavior for others?

Thanks in advance!

Typically I can select tracks on the main infotainment screen. Though on occasion, I have seen a partial "disconnect" between the phone and the infotainment system. I generally have to fix it by turning off bluebooth on the phone and then turning it it back on, again.

Yes! I am having this exact issue. I have an iPhone and audio is fine, playlist displays correct, I can use the steering wheel buttons to go forward and back or pause/start, scroll through my playlist. I cannot however tap on a song and have the car jump to that song and start playing. On the rivian screen the song gets highlighted as long as I'm touching. On my phone at the same time the album art will shrink like it received a command but nothing happens either. It used to work perfectly fine and then suddenly stopped one day.

I've unpaired the phone, restarted the entire car. I have a ticket open with Rivian and just got off the phone with them and hopefully they'll setup a service call. No idea what is going on.

Did you ever figure it out?

With my iPhone, the displayed album art, track list, etc. almost never match what's actually playing. It's a completely broken implementation.
I've noticed that with TuneIn Radio, as well. It seems like the song that is displayed on the screen is usually the one that played a few minutes ago. Or that's going to start in a few minutes. But frequently not what's actually playing right now. ?‍♂

Can we cue argument about why Android Auto or CarPlay is better, now? ?

16.5, the release candidate at least, does not fix it.

I've had this issue since getting the truck in March of 2022. Just figured it was a bug that would eventually get worked out.

I believe that I figured out the issue. I think it has todo with Apple Music and the song availability. I turned off my lossless music setting and it worked as long as my cell connection is strong enough. Let me know if this works

I have the same issue although with one other wrinkle I haven't seen mentioned. I'd say 80% of the time when I get in the vehicle the track list doesn't show on the main display....just a gray screen. I find myself hitting the Alexa button until the music stops, then hitting the phone button and this brings the track list on the display. Touching individual tracks on the display never works......I can only use the steering wheel buttons or the iPhone itself. And if I jump around on iPhone to a particular track (say I was on track 23 and went back to track 7) and then I hit the steering wheel button to continue forward from there (track 8 in this case) it will go to the next track the vehicle thought it was on (track 24 in this case). The interface between iPhone audio and the Rivian is spectacularly bad.

Yes, I’ve noticed those two issues as well. Also, has anyone else noticed that when playing music from your iPhone via Bluetooth in your R1T or R1S, that one of the stereo channels doesn’t come through? That it’s just not balanced?
