I have a Sept 2023 build, and mobile service was just out for a 15,000 mile inspection I requested. They proactively replaced the 12v, and inspected/tightened the hub knuckle bolts that are a problem for some people. Zero complaints and I highly doubt there is another car company that would proactively do something like this, especially for a wear item like the 12v.

Or as expensive as batteries are.... I was scheduled for the hub bolts, they told me Rivian is no longer checking them in the field due to injuries.

I dropped my R1S for a regular tire rotation and inspection yesterday at the Trenton Service center, NJ and they replaced my 12V battery. When I asked why they replaced it, I was told they are doing it as a proactive measure. He was very vocal to state that this is not a recall. I am thinking they noticed something during their inspection and fixed it quietly.

Don't think they've found anything particular with yours.

My take? A recall costs a LOT of money and floods the Service Center with request. Rivian doesn't need those two things. Also, they would be forced to fix those who are past-warranty.

They're silently and proactively replacing 12Vs while avoiding a full-blown recall. I'm ok with this, but I would probably issue an extended warranty on these parts to make it fully OK, to be honest.

My Vin is also in the same range, Have they taken a decision to replace 12V batteries for certain set of vehicles?

Just got my 12v warning…taking in tomorrow. 😬. Build date was 3/22, so just a hair under 3 yrs old.
