Has anyone taken a look at if a pass through from the R1T truck bed to the gear tunnel/cab is possible?
Removing the bed end panel, which is just over 48” wide and held in place by 8 bolts, washers, cap bases and covers. The top four screw directly into the power tonneau cover box and the bottom 4 into the steel bed wall/ back of the gear tunnel. This lower steel panel is part of the cab enclosure so any opening could result in water, dust and noise intrusion into the cab. Also, as part of the R1T’s rigidly mounted structural body an opening would have an impact on the torsional rigidity of the cab and truck.
