Does anyone know of plans for a bed extender, either Rivian branded (hopefully) or aftermarket in the works for the R1T?

For times I don't want to tow the trailer and just transport a single motorcycle, this soft of thing is super nice to have with such a short bed, especially when it hinges "in" when not in use, doubling as a bed organization helper.

How about a cargo net on the back?

I wouldn't trust a cargo net to hold ramps in over a long drive, or things like gas cans/bike stands.

My brother has a heavy duty one that worked great in his ridgeline when we went hauled our bikes to Moab last month.

Looks like another enjoyer of trackdays on 2 wheels. I had a bed extender on my Tacoma and it was super useful for hauling the track moto and related supplies (ramp/stands/cans). I'll be using a trailer with thr R1S but hope to see some good options pop up here for the truck folks.

Yup, trackday instructor here. This R1T will be doing a lot of towing in front of my 14' v-nose trailer to about 26 trackdays a year.

Having the ability to load a bike securely in the bed for off season suspension work and bike buying/selling is huge. That was the only downside to my current Tacoma with a cap. Pulling the cap to run out for a deal on a bike mid winter sucked.

Soooo jealous 26 days a year!? I hear ya on the ease of tossing a bike in the bed and going vs loading a trailer.

I have had a bed extender in my Tundra for the past 18 years. I don’t see how anyone with a short bed truck can live without one.

Edit: ….and I’d gladly trade a bed extender for the tonneau cover in a heartbeat.

100% someone needs to make one for the R1T.

If it was up to me, it’d be one that connects to the catches on the tailgate, and the latches for the tailgate on the bed. collapsible to fit in the spare tire well. Rectangular in profile to follow the shape of the tailgate and maximize volume.

I think there was a long thread about this before. I can’t be bothered to search, either

Have you looked at the moto specific extenders that double as a loading ramp?
I used a ready ramp when I had a truck

Had good success years ago with my bike and a little taco
