After a few Rivian-less months when I sold my R1T earlier this year, I picked up my R1S in Denver 6 days ago, drove it back to Santa Fe, then to Flagstaff, then Las Vegas, then home. 1,775 miles.
At pickup:
Then on to the tint shop— 20% on the fronts, 30% all around, 70% on the windshield and roof, then PPF on the front (full hood, front quarter panels, mirrors)
R1S beats the pants off of R1T for solo road tripping. Almost every charging break I would take a walk, then climb in the back and lay down and close my eyes for 20 minutes. So cozy! I’ve slept back here 3 nights so far.
Clara found a friend camping in the forest at Overland Expo:
Got her dirty blasting down a desert road at 60mph:
Camping on the shore of Lake Mead:
And Supercharging worked great! (other than the fact that it sent a notification about the charge session to my ex-wife. Oh well, she was going to find out about my new truck and give me shit for it sooner or later…)
