Anyone else having major delays with service at the Atlanta service center? I dropped my R1S off for a minor charging issue back in early December and still don’t have an update on what’s wrong! I have received maybe 2 calls total to let me know they still haven’t gotten to it yet. Obviously I understand the holiday delay and that Atlanta is a somewhat new market, but jeez 6 weeks later and the vehicle hasn’t even been touched! I can imagine they are swamped, but cmon this is wild.

My last service appointment in ATL took a full month (September 2024), and they only fixed 2/3 items on my ticket after more than three weeks of sitting untouched. The work only took them two days. I'm scheduled to go back in March for the remaining item. Not looking forward to it. Wish they'd just let us show up when a tech is actually available to work on it instead of leaving it to rot in their parking lot for a month before doing a few hours of work.

Literally decided to make an account just to post on this. My vehicle was left stranded on the side of the road and towed to the Atlanta Service Center. Took countless of calls from me (and eventually an equally upset fiancée) to finally get them to agree to see and take care of the vehicle over a month later. Saw some issues when I got it back, and the next appointment was over two months out. Sounds like they are overwhelmed and lacking techs. I would imagine they would be throwing more resources at their service centers, but it does not sound like the situation is getting better. I'd just continually call and (politely) ask for them to move things along. Persistent is key unfortunately. Squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Sounds pretty standard for the city of Atlanta, tbh. Nice to see Rivian service patterning after their local environs.

Lived here my whole life and that's completely untrue.

OP, communications with the Atlanta SC are a black hole. If you're close enough, the best move is to go there in person and talk face to face. They're friendly, just swamped. Be kind and persistent and you may get some movement. I've heard from higher ups that they're overwhelmed being one of the only SC's in the Southeast. They are actively working on finding a larger space.

This is literally my only concern about owning my Rivian. Service. How is it this bad? I went to the ATL service center for a tire rotation and general checkup. The appointment took 30+ days to get in and when I arrived they wanted to put me in a rental. I declined and told them I wasn't leaving it with them.

This has to improve and quickly.

[/QUOTEI’ve had nothing but good experiences so far- since March 15 2024, especially with their mobile service - twice for relatively minor issues. Nothing bad to say.

I’ve had my T for 2.5 years and nearly 48k miles now and it has been to the ATL SC three times in that span. I have to say that my experience has been nothing but positive. However, I’m very pleased that the Duncan, SC, center is now open. That 3 hour drive to the north side of ATL (and back) is a killer.

I've had one experience and it was also positive. Lucky to get a loaner and they did a good bit of work (tonneau install and a bunch of small fixes) in a week. Communication in setting things up was slow, but the work was fast. Maybe I got lucky?

While it takes a while to get "non-drivability" issues scheduled at the Atlanta Service Center I've only had mostly positive experiences. Two trips in last time was Dec 4th. Was supposed to be same day service but they didn't have a part so I left and came back 2 days later. Polite, patient assertiveness has always worked well for me there. Along with not accepting the first solution they tell you if there seems to be a better approach.

If it is something they can handle with the Mobile Tech I recommend accepting, even if it takes long for them to come out; I've had this service twice but waited about a month longer for it.

Their lot and bays are completely slammed though; it is an absolute terrible location for a SC.

It would be a lot better if ABC brewing was still open right next door too :)

I have heard that it is the busiest SC, covers 6 states. Also, rumors of coming SC in Columbia and possibly Pensacola

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will continue to call and politely ask for movement and updates. Still love my R1S, I just want it back! Paying a sturdy monthly for a 3 year lease to not to even enjoy it. Can’t imagine the amount of $$ loss Rivian have spent on my loaner… and by the sound of it what others are saying is a similar time frame. Hoping they get some better infrastructure and more techs in soon to improve this backlog. Next time I’m requesting mobile tech only ?

Also, I completely disagree that this situation is typical of Atlanta. Sounds like a comment from someone who is not from/live here.
