I was exactly where you are but 5 ½ years ago when I ordered my first EV (Model S).Going for the cheapest R1T I can honestly…money is an object
I can understand that, I just really want a couple of features and plan to keep the car a long time. My last car was in my garage for 11yrsGoing for the cheapest R1T I can honestly…money is an object
Totally get that perspective, would that I couldI was exactly where you are but 5 ½ years ago when I ordered my first EV (Model S).
Now I'm like, "Yolo, bitches!" ?
Seeing how they've already delivered vehicles to customers and they still won't let anyone try the powered tonneau because it's always broken/acting up/prone to breaking/etc. I almost wish opting out of the powered tonneau was an option!Just put in mine for an Explore. The only thing I wish I could get from the Adventure was the ventilated seats. They are nice, but not worth the premium to me. I also like the wood, but it's not something I need. The power tonneau was actually a mark against the Adventure for me, I prefer the manual (previous Avalanche owner, so I am used to removing panels, and at least these can be stored more easily).
First time in hearing of this issue. Mind providing a source?they still won't let anyone try the powered tonneau because it's always broken/acting up/prone to breaking/etc.
If you watch any of the first drive reviews, they were asked not to use them. Also at the First Mile events they were deactivated. I'm sure they will get them working before they ship too many, probably a software thing, just something I don't need. I worry about it if things freeze. You would have problems with the manual cover too, but trying to open it "most likely" wouldn't cause any damage.First time in hearing of this issue. Mind providing a source?
That's sad to hear. Hopefully they'll be able to work it out soon.If you watch any of the first drive reviews, they were asked not to use them. Also at the First Mile events they were deactivated. I have worked on a few components for Rivian. If they put the same attention to detail into all of them (and from what I have seen they seem to), I have more faith in them making it work than most (maybe any) other automakers. That is why I have placed my pre-order.That's sad to hear. Hopefully they'll be able to work it out soon.
Preach on, brother. My first EV was a Model S and of course required the wife's approval. I prepared a presentation with a spreadsheet and shit. ?my wife will decide if the added cost of the LE/Adventure is worth it ?
