next to the green machine is our amazing I4M50. For now this is the situation and not sure if it will change. Two very different vehicles driven for different purposes.

We have both a Launch R1T and R1S as our daily drivers. However, we have a host of other petrol burning, diesel burning and E85 burning monsters......oh...and an R2 reservation. ;)

We're an all EV household, but just one Rivian. We only want one big car for the household.

It's a possibility when the R3 comes out, but we'll see what else is available at the time.

Maybe if Rivian made a sedan, or when the R3X comes out finally, we might consider all Rivian. This presumes the company is still around.

Personally, for most of my driving, I prefer something more efficient than driving a pickup truck or SUV, even if smaller SUV or truck. I prefer a sedan. I just made a drive on a route I've done efficiency testing with my R1T. Driving at 60 mph, I got worse efficiency than I did in our Model 3 at 90 mph. I was getting over 3 mpk in the 3 at that speed.

So while my R1T is more efficient than an ICE truck my 3 is twice almost twice as efficient as it. So if I were to replace the 3, I'd want something like the R3X. Our Model 3 is a blast to drive on a daily basis. I hope the R3X will be too. By then we might be ready to part with the 3.

For now, I'll keep something very efficient, something super quick and our R1T. Well that and an old school pickup. From some angles the cab spoiler reminds me of the R1T.

I voted no. I drive the R1T and my wife drives a Genesis GV70.

R1 for business. Volvo ice for personal use. But this just makes sense for business. Will likely change the Volvo out for an R2.

2024 Rivian R1S - 2023 Tesla Model Y
I have a model Y and can't wait to get rid of it. Actually loved the Tesla at first, but I've got progressively more annoyed at the downsides of the car each month, can't stand Elon, and have been blown away how awesome the Rivian is.

I reserved the R2 the day reservations opened but was a few hours late with busy work so I'm probably 8000 numbers back or something crazy.

I'll certainly want to test driving the R2. I'm seriously thinking I might prefer to get another R1S standard with the LFP pack though. I love the size of the R1 and the suspension.

Never owned two identical cars before but I like the idea of all the accessories being the same.

My significant other was/is interested in the R2, but in the meantime picked up a 2024 Volvo XC40 Recharge. So, full EV household. Not full Rivian ... yet.

Except for the fact that my R1 is the tri with storm blue and the BMW is purple this could be a picture of my household vehicles.

Mac0512,

Just traded in my 21 Model Y last Thursday for a 24 R1T. Enjoying the truck. My wife tells me every time that we are in the truck that she likes the R1T because of the seats and the ride. She did not like the Y suspension and rough ride.
