Has anyone noticed the arbitrary limits imposed on the driver's display?
A few of the hard limits I've noticed
I know not the system can see far more than what is shown on the screen. For example on rare occasions it will briefly show cars that are very far away, until it realizes that they are more than one lane over, and as soon as it realizes that they disappear.
Any thoughts as to why this is? I've noticed that these exact same hard rules seem to apply to the Gen 1 visualization as well
A few of the hard limits I've noticed
- Other vehicles are only shown if they are facing the same direction as you (or at least close)
- Parked vehicles on the side of the road are only shown if your speed is exactly 30 MPH or less
- On the highway only vehicles in the lane directly to the left and directly to the right are shown
