I'm just trying to breathe through these folks getting guide contacts for Adventure reservations. Gotta "trust the process". The universe will present a Rivian to me in its own perfect time.

At least I have my test drive to look forward to next weekend.

Every time someone who ordered a year or more after me posts about guide contact and/or delivery, I die a little inside.

And it's happening A LOT lately.

I'm convinced my there's something screwy with my account. But I'll probably never know...

Real question - I'm considering changing my delivery address to the Rivian Service center a few minutes away from me. What say you all? Crazy? I was told the reason I never was going to get a First Drive invite was because my zip code wasn't "authorized". I'm wondering if that's also impacting my delivery. CS won't tell me anything.

Talk me off the ledge. Slap me like Chris Rock. Please and thank you.

Naw just Rivians screwy selection process. I have had 0 contact or anything my self and Im somewhat early (May 2019).

I think Rivian has taught us a lesson that is contrary to what adults/parents may have told us.

No longer do I believe that the early bird catches the worm.

Ordered Feb of 19 R1T LE, LG, FE inside. I got an April May Est. Delivery
Changed to BM inside on 3/23
Got Config lock 3/25
Got guide 3/29 5pm est. I reached out at 5:15 saying let's get it done.
Got different guide 3/29 6 pm est. I reached out at 6:30 saying let's get it done. (No idea why 2nd guide was assigned)
3/30 guide calls says I got an LE, LG, BM bright wheels no smash plate you can have 2mrow. I said works for me. Paperwork completed by 2:00pm Wire trans complete at 3:00pm
Pickup scheduled for lunchtime 3/31.

I had updated my config a week ago before they adjusted my pricing back to the original pricing. Now that they've changed my pricing back to original, I noticed that my config changes were gone. So I had tp update the config again.

So, check your config, especially after the price changes back for you.

He said the tow hooks were on it but not the plate.

Yes off-road upgrade is tow hooks and "reinforced plate" in front for $2000. In my part of the country we call them what you do with them. "Smash Plates" are primarily used to smash into stuff like rocks and various types of fauna that inadvertently wonder into your path in the dark of night both on and off road. I figured there will be some off-road aftermarket parts that will become available that will do the job for less than 2K.
