can you tag "The Garage Journal" back in and let them distribute the files since the manufacturing processes seems to have stalled.

Dang then youre almost better off bending a sheet of metal yourself and putting some nut inserts into something like this https://thangs.com/designer/theplen/3d-model/Rivian Compressor Door Lock-926437
Hah, i actually tried that, but the torque is a bit too much for the plastic, so my screws kept stripping out. Also, since you can not operate the compressor and keep the gear guard locked at the same time, the light plastic inserts kept falling out when trying to use the compressor and reel with it inserted into the gear guard. There may be a way to do it with something 3D printed, but the metal version will be much more solid and more likely to last I would think.

How long does it take to fabricate a bracket? Looks like he's more interested in keeping it for himself.
Ok. I just got the ok to respond with what's happening @LivingInKaos has had some health issues that he has been dealing with since Thanksgiving. Basically please be patient with him as he deals with it.

While talking to him we may make them elsewhere with his approval.

since they wrangled the project back from "The Garage Journal" and are active elsewhere on the forum while ignoring this thread I think I will be looking at alternatives.

Never "wrangled" anyone. LivinginKaos is the designer and fabricator of this product specifically. As he is experiencing health issues as stated above, I didn't feel it was my place to talk about what he's going through. While speaking with him today he gave me the ok to talk about the delay and cause behind it.

Life happens. We have been as open and honest as we can be.

"The Garage Journal" slightly modified the bracket, and then assembled it. LivinginKaos then asked that they not distribute that file, and now 4-months later we are here.

Sorry to hear about his health issues and hope he's recovering well. Now with his approval for a go ahead, can you get it going with the fabrication? We want to use it while we still own the R1T.

Not sure if you are trying to pick an argument or something, but I have been as clear as I can be.

As soon as I get the files I can start immediately. If you want "Garage Journal" to send em my way. I'll be happy to start. LivinginKaos has given me approval to make 'em. He is not near his shop, nor will be for a while so it will be a bit for him to get them to me.

I'll create our own forum post soon on this. But I have the files to make the part. The bracket is straight forward and should not be difficult to find a shop to make them. The parts that go into the gear guard lock are going to require a CNC.

Looking for a shop that will offer a good price for what is needed. I'll have news very soon.
