I ask, because we currently have our 2 Tesla's, and a Ford Fiesta covered by Tesla Insurance, but the VIN for the Rivian, maybe being delivered tomorrow, isn't recognized. I called Tesla Insurance, and they gave me a wishy-washy answer that they're still building out their VIN integrations with other manufacturers, and to check back in 'a few months' (!).
So, are they just being slow, or, just maybe, slow-rolling competitors? I'm trying to decide if I should just find a 1 month policy somewhere, or move all the cars to a new policy, as having a policy just for the Rivian will be pricy. It doesn't help that the insurance link on Rivian's site doesn't work, and the phone number just dumps to voicemail.
Longer=term challenge is we have a 20 year on the policy (that'll be the Fiesta, obv!), and she will never drive any of the EV's, but we have to pay on the basis she will be, unless she gets her own policy. This'll become more problematic if the Roadster ever arrives!
