Doesn't look to be as high quality as some of the other product offerings out there, but for someone that just needs a step more than protection, these seem to be OK? What do you guys think? Anyone got these on order willing to guinea pig for us?

Comes down to around $560 after coupon.

I was hoping someone out there could provide some honest feedback. But if nobody responds, I might just take one for the team and be the guinea pig.

I'd really like to see how they were able to maintain intact plastic panels with those brackets. The instructions don't show a picture of this.

After installing the Rmaxx running boards this past weekend, not having to cut anything is a nice touch.

I assume from the install instructions that the plastic covers arenā€™t reused.

as for the rmaxx arenā€™t 4ā€ holes cut into the plastic?
Last page of instructions calls out to reinstall ā€œplastic plates on the bottomā€, which I assume are the plastic panels removed for installation.

Rmaxx requires one is the following:
  • Remove panels completely
  • Cut 4ā€ holes
  • Cut L-shaped channel

So you didnā€™t reinstall the plastic panels then?

That's what it sounds like, which would be the same as these EVBASE boards. After reviewing the instructions, I think connoisseurr's point is that the written instructions have a final step that calls for reinstalling the plastic panels to complete the installation.

I believe that was an error in the written instructions, as the very beginning of the video instructions talk about the panels and how they are easy to remove and to reinstall, should you choose to go back to OEM.

I did, well, I cut the L-shaped pass through holes, then reinstalled. Process was:
  • Remove panels
  • Install mounting brackets
  • Cut holes in panels
  • Reinstall panels
  • Install running boards

Totally deliberateā€¦. šŸ« ā€¦Based on calculations I made up, Iā€™m estimating a 30% range improvement, Iā€™ve dropped 10lbs, my hair is thicker and have more time to spend with my grandkids.

Fellow Raviarians.... Check out the bracket abomination required for these! Aero hit, ground clearance hit, anyone? :surprised::headbang:

So happy to have chosen the RMaxx/1EV @EV Sportline running boards! Much better design, with much less impact and far more "closing" options. This one has zero. Remove panels and install eight ground clearance reducing air dams! šŸ˜†

Made in China?
