Anyone reconsidering their R2 reservation?

Do you still plan to convert your R2 reservation into an order?

Dumb question and dumb discussion. We won't have any substantial purchasing information for another year. At that point, we can revaluate the state of service and the company in general. Rivian knows what they have to do. Until then, it's a refundable $100. As Strong Bad would say, "Stiny, stop whining and get me a Danish."

I am reconsidering it but more than likely go through with it. I reserved it with the thought in mind of daily driving it but I don’t see that happening now that I’ve fallen in love with my CT. I would like to use it in the longer trips once I see which trim actually has the most range available

I haven't reserved one yet, but I would in a second if my wife was interested in one. I love my R1S.

My ownership experience could be better; my Rivian could have helped our new venture get funded. I will have to settle for just a great EV experience with only a handful of new car company growing pains. :)

As would I! Same for the R3. I would almost prefer the R3, in fact.
Love the look of the R3 but it's potentially too small for the grandkids
The wife is patiently waiting for the R2 as a replacement for her current vehicle
I'm keeping my R1T for as long as I can

R1T in 2023 ?
No… at least not yet. Completely happy with my Gen 2 dual max. I’ll wait and see what R2 really has to offer rhat will make it worth buying to replace a Model Y.

I am reserving judgment till production vehicles get delivered to regular retail customers not NDA bound employee customers. With that in mind, the first question I will ask retail owners will be "is there any vampire drain" and if the answer is "yes, x miles /day" I will instantly request my deposit back. Vampire drain is completely avoidable, both our i3 and Jeep Wrangler 4xe have zero vampire drain over even a weeks time.
You know, I read alot about people experiencing vampire drain on their Rivians but in the 1 week I had my Gen2 R1S I think I lost maybe 2-5% battery sitting in my garage before it ended up at the service center for delivery day issues. The loaner “Gen1” R1S Quad I got on the other hand driving 20 miles home from the service center then sitting in our garage for a few days lost 21% battery (88% down to 67%). I'm wondering if they have a constant ping on the loaner to track it's location that drains the battery but no clue why my new Gen2 had next to no vampire drain...just other serious issues

Edit: changed loaner description to Gen1

That was unusually high drain for either Gen 1 or 2. I think you might have been given something other than a G2 quad. Did you mean to say G1? The G2 quad isn't even out yet.

Mistakes happen or I thought maybe you were one of the luckiest people in the world. ;)

That is insane vampire drain. I am typically about 1% a day now with a max of about 1.5% with my G1 quad.

Reconsidering only because I love my R1T so much and won't be ready to give it up (no reasonable need for both).

Which mirrors my loss numbers over the almost 2 full years I owned a gen 1 Quad.

Man I wish you had put hell yeah I would take
Delivery today. It’s a startup what do you expect. My 2022 R1T had some little problems but all fixed. I know some of you have had problems that were not addressed and sorry to hear that I have been made good on mine. My kid picked up a used one, they love it too. I guess the comfort level goes up with a SC in town and maybe that is your gauge of tolerance. But overall from the sound of it based on JD power surveys, Rivian is rank 2nd for repeat purchase by owners. So I hope that answer your question bud. This poll makes no sense relative to that JD power survey.

I'm hoping to still get one. Depends on final specs and if the service experience goes south with a lot more cars on the road

No why, it's refundable and I reserved two. It's a reservation, no reconsideration needed until the time for decision comes.

Me too. It's refundable. I reserved a Corvette C8 which I bought and a Lucid which I canceled. Also ordered a Tesla Model Y. When it came in the paint was flawed so we refused it. The next one was perfect. My R1S is flawless, why would I replace it. Why would someone replace a quad with a tri motor. The porposing has gotten a lot better.
