Hello all,
A mobile rivian visit identified that my coolant is low. The coolant resovoir can be viewed right behind the windshield wiper fluid - pop off the front plastic section in the frunk (above the lightbar) and then pop up the plastic on the passenger side.
Per the manual, I thought that coolant was to be replaced every 112k or some odd miles. Is this coolant shared with the motors? I'm 26 months in to ownership and less than 20k total miles.
A service center appointment is required for the coolant to prevent air bubbles and such. It sounds similar to a brake fluid process.
The coolant is used to cool modules (amongst other areas which I do not have a definitive list of).
My truck was experiencing issues charging and the screens in the truck would randomly shut off and reset. The screens shutting off are most likely due to the low coolant per Rivian's mobile Tech - the modules were overheating?
Seems like I'll need an SC appointment for the coolant and to replace the on board charger to fix the charging and screen issues.
Truck was just in the SC in June and July for powered tonneau replacement. Apparently checking coolant is not part of the maintenance check the SC conducted...
Anyone else checked their coolant or had it serviced?
