Anybody run a roof basket?

I’m wondering if anybody out there is running a roof basket (like a Yakima LoadWarrior) and what impact you’ve seen on efficiency.

Bonus points for pics. I haven’t been able to find anybody with this setup.

While I have a complete roof rack, I’ve seen about a 5-10% (at ~70mph) efficiency hit. I can only imagine a roof basket mounted on top of the crossbars would be just that much more impactful.

Are you asking specifically about a basket or just a versatile roof solution that you could mount a bunch of different things to, like cargo carriers, a basket, bike rack, cargo totes. I am in the process of installing the Front Runner Slimline II roof rack. Link

The basket specifically— I’d like a solution I can easily take off when I don’t need it, and I don’t love the look of the full roof racks

On the bed rails vs. roof, I occasionally put stuff in the LoadWarrior basket, but I really don't track efficiency. It clamps to the factory rails, and with the quick release on both rails it pops off easily enough when full bed or spare access is needed.
