I'm not suggesting that more demand for Rivians is necessary now - according to recent poling I have seen, and folks I speak to, the majority of car buyers are not going to buy an EV next anyway. But when these buyers begin considering an EV purchase in a few years, if they are not familiar with Rivian, then a Rivian vehicle may not get a shot at being on their 'short list'.
And in a few years Rivians will be everywhere. You argued against yourself here. Rivian should NOT worry about distributing trucks all over at first because any word of mouth marketing wont pay off for years anyway as they have a pipeline of current orders to get through. By the time they need more orders to keep the lights on they will have already distributed trucks everywhere.

I think Colorado would be very high on the list for first deliveries. Not only is CO EV and direct sales friendly but if selling “adventure” why start with major cities outside of IL and CA?
I have a place in Denver and told CS if I can get it sooner I will take it there
But I think I will skip the DRIVE from Normal to Denver or Phoenix
Not sure I want to camp at random chargers and drive across the country in my first EV

In Colorado too and hope we are high on the list for several reasons:
1) lots of charging locations announce for CO
2) top off-road and adventure destination
3) pretty straight delivery path from Normal and Denver could well be a distribution hub
4) jobs for service people seem to have been filled a few weeks ago
5) Amazon vans out testing in CO
The bad:
6) no progress at all at the Walnut Street location (drove by there on Friday)

Fingers Crossed for CO
What is the Address for the Walnut street?
2900 is a cement place?
Can you post pictures?
Yes I am excited ?
