I've seen quite a few folks using sticky phone mounts on their dashes. Any risk of damaging the dash pad? Any particular adhesives to avoid or prefer?

Munro has a video that showed the dash disassembled and they commented on how thin and unsupported the top cover is. I would be careful pushing down or pulling up any sticky mounts, as they said it was easy to crease the cover.

I'd expect something like 3M VHB will be fine as long as you remove it properly (generally they recommend using some heat and dental floss to break the seal). However it's fairly likely that over time (years, less if you park outside) you'll get some UV fade on the fabric, so any dash mount could leave a visble "shadow."
