Any 2023 R1S reservation holders asked to configure?

Curious where we are on the backlog as some December 2022 R1S holders have been asked to configure.

September 2023 reservation - demo drive in October, got a call this week offering one with a max pack for delivery in the next 4-6 weeks. Couldn't bring myself to do max pack but after that call was invited to configure DM/large battery and pulled the trigger. I'd been calling pretty regularly saying I would be good to go on one when Rivian was.

Wow sep 23 for a R1S?

I was aug 22 and chatted only a few times in the beginning and a couple times in the last month or so. Got a call this Monday saying they could get me a car in 1-2 weeks but my config access was already a month or two ago.

It’s anecdotal but I’ve seen a lot of people get invited to configure or get calls right after scheduling a test drive. I was an 8/22 res and picked mine up a few days ago after configuring in October. Test a week later then got a call saying one that matches my build is available.

Wondering what the post price increase conversion rate is, probably low if they’re working through them that fast.

No delivery yet, still in the processing estimate phase but when I chatted with the online chat they said that means 1-4 months to delivery.

I'm wondering the same! Sadly, Data suggests it cannot be strong.

July '22 reservation here and had r1t access for a few months recently. Configured an r1s in October. Black Friday had inventory in the shop and I picked a car and got a vin.

I did a test drive through a friend’s reservation in summer ‘23. I myself am a September ‘22 reservation holder (R1S) Was invited to configure a week or so before Halloween. I asked support a few questions (slow response) and eventually asked for shop access which was denied. 2 days back I got shop access. I’ll be making a decision soon and do have a question or two for this forum

I did an R1S reservation 11-08-2023. Nothing yet but I don't expect much for the next few months. I'm hoping for shop access eventually.

I had a Jan 2022 R1S reservation pre-order and I am located in North Idaho, 300 miles away from the nearest service center in Bellevue Washinton. I scheduled a test drive while in Las Vegas in mid-October. Everything went great, loved the vehicle. Even talked to guide about possibly changing delivery address to my daughters in Seattle due to distance to service location issues everybody seems to talk about in forum. 2 weeks ago, I received a survey from Rivian about how my test drive went, which also included a question on the timeframe when I intended to buy. Immediately was my response after waiting almost 2 years. Next day I received a call from Rivian who ran my configuration which matched an R1S that came off the assembly line the day before. I'm halfway thru my 8 steps and expect delivery in 2-4 weeks. El cap, Quad, large pack, 20" AT dark, Black MTN w/ dark ash wood interior, vin 29xxx. Apparently, No issues with my delivery address being in Idaho.

I placed a deposit on August 18, 2023 (Same day the Seattle Spaces/Showroom opened and I could get inside an R1S). I have checked in at the Showroom a couple of times and emailed asking for updates a couple of times. No test drives in WA state unfortunately. I definitely let them know I was eager to get an R1S.
Last Saturday I was hiking and was out of cell phone coverage but dreaming about how nice it would be to have my R1S already. At that exact time, I got a call that went to voicemail from Rivian saying that they would like to try to pair me up with an R1S that they have available. I replied to the email that they also sent when I got home and got a call back on Monday. I got paired up with Dual/Large Green/Green R1S that is just rolling off the line. It will ship on Dec 2 to Bellevue WA and arrive on Dec 9th. Should hopefully have it before Christmas. So about 120 days from deposit to receipt if all goes as planned. Do not hesitate to let them know you are ready to go! Seemed to work for me.

Sounds like they’re trying to exhaust anyone willing to pay post hike price before dropping it
