Yup saw one here in Frisco, TX last week and couldn't believe it. Neat to see Rivian scaling their production (as a reservation and stock holder).

Also, for people who don't know, that Twitter account spits out things from a Bloomberg machine.

Awesome, I'll have to keep an eye out! Maybe there will be one delivering to my neighborhood soon.

AMAZON’S ELECTRIC DELIVERY VEHICLES FROM RIVIAN ROLL OUT ACROSS THE U.S.
Will be looking for them in my area....

Side note.....
I think I've mentioned this before, apologize for repeating, the forecasted pace of Rivian EDV deliveries has apparently slipped a lot, not clear now if Rivian plans to deliver 100k vans to Amazon by 2025 or by 2030. In Rivian's amended S-1, 11.5.21, Rivian stated:

https://sec.report/Document/0001193125-21-321716/

From amended S-1

Growth in Automotive Sales.
We expect to generate revenue from the sale of new consumer and commercial vehicles, vehicle accessories, regulatory credits, used and trade-in vehicles, and Rivian merchandise..................................................Our commercial vehicles will initially consist of EDVs, and we plan to deliver 100,000 EDVs to Amazon by 2025. We expect vehicle demand to outpace our production volumes in the near-term as we work to fulfill customer preorders and continue to add to our backlog of preorders.

Amazon is saying by "2030"
for example.

Between the lines: The Amazon deal — it's buying 100,000 EDVs through 2030 is a lifeline for Rivian, which has been seen as a promising Tesla competitor but has struggled to beef up its consumer production numbers.

I’m assuming that Amazon/Rivian are choosing roll-out cities based on SC locations? For instance, Baltimore makes sense as there’s a Rockville SC. But, I didn’t see NYC (Brooklyn SC) in that initial list…

Interview with RJ about it:

Cool interview, thanks for posting. The business plan with the Amazon vans seems really solid.

I hope RJ is okay though. Those coughs!

Might be easier for Rivian just to set up shop (at least temporarily) at the Amazon delivery centers. It may be also easier (at least temporarily) to have one service center focus on R1's, and another focus on the vans, at least until they have some bugs or kinks worked out.
