Hey Everyone,

Jake from Cinch here.

We had an amazing response to our post last Friday—thank you for that! We only have a few units left from this next batch, so if you're thinking about getting in on the April stock, I'd say there are only a few more days before everything is reserved. After that, we'll move to pre-orders for the following batch, likely arriving in May/June.

The Rivian community has truly embraced the Air Cruiser as their go-to RTT. I was checking out the numbers, and considering how many Rivians are on the road, the Air Cruiser has seen incredible adoption among owners. For a niche product like an RTT, the response has been huge, which just goes to show how much this community values top-quality gear.

One thing we’ve really enjoyed is getting to know you all. The conversations, feedback, and overall vibe from the Rivian community have been fantastic, so thank you!

Interestingly, we never set out to design the perfect RTT for the Rivian—the community found us after we launched on Kickstarter, and it snowballed from there. But looking at it now, it makes total sense. The Air Cruiser’s innovation, aesthetics, and perfect fit for the truck bed are a huge win.

There aren’t many RTTs that fit the truck bed, and of those that do, none offer the cabin space and tech that the Air Cruiser does.

Below are some user photos from Joshua, who posted these on our thread last Friday. We hadn't seen them before and absolutely love them—they capture the adventure and freedom that an RTT and a Rivian bring. Joshua also shared his thoughts on the tent:

"The Air Cruiser's main draw for me was the simple and quick setup and tear down, but what I was perhaps most impressed with once I got to use it was the construction. The materials are remarkably light and strong, particularly the inflatable frame.
Beyond the simple setup, the generous panoramic views, and integrated LED lighting, I love all of the headroom afforded by the tall ceiling."
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. And if you're thinking about jumping onboard, now is the time—the deposit to secure a unit is just $99, locking in $600 off the retail price. That brings it down to $2,399 plus shipping, which is an absolute bargain. You can reserve here https://air-cruiser.cinchpopuptents.com/ just enter your email to join the waitlist and you'll be offered the chance to reserve with the discount.

Not only have we held last year’s pricing, but we’re offering a huge discount right now. That said, we won’t be able to run this offer much longer—tariffs and rising costs mean the next batch will be priced higher.

Cheers,

Jake

Nice product, but still pricey as are most RTT. I'll keep sleeping on the ground. Best wishes.

Yeah, RTTs aren’t cheap, but they’re very different from ground tents—both in experience and manufacturing costs. Sleeping in an RTT isn’t just about being off the ground; it’s more like a budget-friendly way to turn your truck into an RV. There’s something special about camping up high, taking in the views, and feeling that elevated connection with the outdoors.

We also sell a lot of ground tents—actually, more than RTTs—and both have their place. It’s great to have options depending on how you like to camp. If you spot an RTT on the road, take a closer look—you might just love it! ?

I am very close to pre-ordering this, but can you speak to the quality and setup ease compared to the Yakima SkyTent HD that is sold via Rivian and unbranded for quite a bit less at REI?

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for your interest! 😊

The setup process is quite similar between the two tents up until the rain fly stage. With the Yakima, you’ll need to manually attach the rain fly and set up the canopies. With the Air Cruiser, that step is eliminated entirely—you just plug it in and it sets itself up automatically. No rain fly to attach, no extra canopies to mess with. It makes the whole setup significantly easier and quicker.

In terms of materials, the difference is pretty noticeable. The Yakima uses polyester, while the Air Cruiser is made from canvas, which gives it a far more premium feel and better durability.

Honestly, if you had both side by side, I’m almost certain you’d choose the Air Cruiser.

That’s not to say the Yakima isn’t a good tent—it’s solid, well made, and performs well. I wouldn’t want to knock it unfairly. But the Air Cruiser is just on another level.

The interior experience is also very different. The Air Cruiser feels more like a luxury cabin—spacious, airy, and refined—whereas the Yakima has more of a traditional tent feel. I’ve attached a few photos to give you a better sense of the interior.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!

And funnily enough, I was actually thinking of putting together a comparison table showing all the RTTs that fit the Rivian truck bed. Might be time to make that happen. 😄

Cheers,

Jake

Great to have you onboard Tom, we might even squeeze you into April yet. All the reservations have gone for April but a couple usually drop out, you're on the cusp so fingers crossed, if not, you're 100% on for May :)

Reservation made! I always like to support others small businesses. We recently got an S to go with the T, and I’m thinking all 5 of us can camp with kids up in here, and us in the back of the S if those HEST mattresses become available around the same time!

It looks like the $600 discount is no longer available. Any chance we will get another shot at a discount?

I was going to ask the same thing. I was overseas and never order anything when out of town. I have had issues even when using VPNs and only had my work computer.
