I do not have experience with Lomax covers but they do seem good. I have plenty of experience with CF.. The CF finish is my only concern. Hopefully they have taken precautions to ensure the integrity of the CF aesthetics. For me, this material choice would be mostly for aesthetics.
Looking forward to CF Lomax owners experiences......
Since I had such a great experience with my previous Lomax cover, I splurged and purchased their carbon fiber one for this R1T. It is lighter than the previous coated aluminum one I sold with my Ridgeline. It is also not as thick as the old, coated aluminum one. This one works equally well and I look forward to many more years of use, just as I did on my old Ridgeline.

I just bought an aluminum one used from another user on this forum. It’s really nice and well made. Feels like it will last a long time, consistent with @Feetdry’s experience. Thank you for the thoughts on this cover as it helped me decide to get it.
@Feetdry how does the rubber seal between the panels and around the cover hold up over time?

How does the rubber hold up? Well I drove my 08 Ridgeline 334,000 miles before I wrecked it and the rubber and in fact the entire cover was just like the day I took it out of the box and installed it. In fact, I opened and closed it on almost a daily basis. I expect this new carbon fiber one to preform equally as well.

@Feetdry would you mind sharing photos of your cf cover? Thank you in advance.

I have the EV sportline soft cover, and it is fantastic, but I am considering a hard cover for the added security.

I spent a lot more on this carbon fiber, mainly because I paid extra to have the bottom of mine protected with carbon fiber. I figured if I have carbon fiber under my pickup, why not have it on top too.

Looks great. Overall the yellow and black color scheme is sharp.

looks great! does the cf come standard with a white or black under side? Also, how or who did you get to wrap the under side? Thanks again !
It's all black. The only wrap is on the front of the truck. PPF on all the front surfaces.....Nowhere else.

Gosh these photos really have me questioning whether taking delivery of the manual cover at $800 is a good call or not. I golf a lot, so having the cover folded back on the standoffs could be very useful for me when moving clubs to and from. And if I decide to go out after the game, lock it up. With the manual, I'd be pulling everything outside the tailgate (which I can't do in my garage btw...)

Ah, the answer is...........that is the second fold and the answer is, you may lock it in place and I'm sure drive 114 miles per hour. The first fold is mainly to just access the bed. Hey, if you are interested, the place to explore all their various covers, all made in North Dakata is lomaxcover.com

Can you drive around with the cover on the standoffs like that pretty confidently?
Yes there are straps that hold the panels down when folded open all the way. I’ve driven around like this and have no concerns.
