As noted previously, I have the Conti Terrain Contact H/T (LT) in 275/65/20. I'm currently running them @ 47 PSI due to the Pirelli 20" tires calling for that PSI. Their max stated PSI is 80. Is this the correct inflation?
Are you looking for minimum weight needed and best handling or are you trying to get best range and efficiency?

I believe low 60s will get best range and low 50s best ride.

if you want the same load as OEM then you can inflate to ~60 psi.

Range I would suggest is between 55-65 psi (cold).

A very general guide (If running 65 psi, best to check tread wear every 500 miles to make sure it's even, if not lower 5 psi...):

For the LT tires:
65 psi is 3,000# load per tire
59 psi is 2,750# load per tire
55 psi is 2,550# load per tire
49 psi is 2,300# load per tire
45 psi is 2,100# load per tire
Completely empty, 40 psi could support the vehicle (1,800# times 4 = 7,200#)
Fully loaded, 48 psi is recommended (2,225# times 4 = 8,900#)
Additional PSI will shrink the contact patch (this will increase stopping distance)
This is where the efficiency gain comes from and shorter CP means tire rolls more easily...
The bad side, too much/little and get uneven tire wear.
3 examples for the LT (80 psi tire):
Assume total vehicle weight of 7500#
Each tire supports roughly 1875#.
CPs at 50, 65, and 80 psi:
37.5 sq. in. (50 psi)
28.8 sq. in. (65 psi)
23.4 sq. in. (80 psi)
Let's assume CP as squares, so the CP length is shortened from 6.1" at 50 psi to 4.8" at 80 psi.
In theory this could result in a 20-30% increase in fuel efficiency.
TireMPK
48 psi1.7
55 psi1.8
60 psi1.9
65 psi2.0
70 psi2.1
80 psi2.2

Absolutely. Ride is definitely softer. Cornering and steering are no different. I already can tell the efficiency is better than the 21" . I did not switch for efficiency. I paid total of 3500 for the combo aw09 and the general grabber . I would have pay 2500 just for the OEM 21” pirelli alone
Checking back in if you've seen 2.5 MPK yet in warmer weather?
Also, if you do another test, could you lock the speed to 65 mph and then reset Trip B?
This will remove any noise from lower speeds and hopefully you are on relatively flat ground....
I know you have a longer trip coming so maybe that will be a good chance to collect some data...
But that will be a little different test cause you'll likely have additional weight dragging your MPK down a bit...

Also, any thoughts on the GOODYEAR WRANGLER TERRITORY HT (see above)?

At 39#s I doubt it can get the MPKs that HTS60 gets but maybe close...

My wife is the main driver of this car and I see 2.4 or so on the 15 mins efficiency when I step in the car after she gets home from work. According to teslafi website monitor, her daily communte gets around 2.25 ish. . She is one of the most conservative driver, so her number is would be very ideal. So far, the number is about the same or maybe slightly better than the 21".

I will try to do a 30 miles conserve with 65 mph cruise this weekend if the weather is ideal. Dallas weather has been raining and high wind almost daily.

I just got a set of the terrain contact h/t. They get installed Thursday
Any photos you could share of the Continental TerrainContact H/T's? Sorry, I searched but couldn't find any if you already posted somewhere else...also, any ballpark on MPKs so far?
Guessing you are right around 2.0 with the colder temps?

Still cold but highway I saw 2.3 ish and local driving I saw around 1.9 - 2.0. Still roughly 30-40 degree f around here

These look great. I assume these are 275/60/20 and not the 275/65/20 based on how they look, right?
Thanks for providing pictures and brief range numbers. I'd be interested to see how these do as it warms up a bit.

Yes, all tires mentioned in this thread are 275/60 (33").
The OEM size (34") of that tire would likely be 20-30% less efficient...
Assuming average temp of only 36F or so, once adjusted 65F DoubleTake's MPK is a solid 2.25, will need some more data to confirm, but this should mean a max range of 290 (AP) miles or 325 (Conserve) miles...
Thanks for sharing DoubleTake!

Yep 275/60R20. The ride quality is so much better than stock 22 perelli and 275/60 KO2s

I am about to switch out to Black Rhino rims with General Grabber HTS60 275/60 116T though 🤪

Going for the 2.5+ MPKs?
I was originally going to just transfer the H/T over but I got an excellent package deal with the HTS60 and figured it be easier to sell my R800s with TPMs and new tires on them. Plus hopefully I will also get that extra efficiency 🤞🤞

So today in 45 degree weather during my same 13mile commute home I average 2.35. With my 275/60 KO2 I would get 1.85 and with my 22” 275/50 perreli I would get 1.95. ( all these with same weather and commute to try and get as close to realistic comparison)
