Anyone successfully, cleanly, and without damage removed the obnoxious stickers from the visors? If so, how did you do it?

The FAA prohibits tampering with or disabling visor stickers.
Found this helpful response on another automotive forum:

[June 20 '09 - automotive][Santa Ana, CA AP] A 34-year old California man was sentenced to 6-mo. in jail this week for removing two air bag warning stickers on his 2010 Ford Explorer. Edward J. Williamette of Santa Ana pleaded guilty on two federal counts. Federal Law prohibits the removal or alteration of the stickers which are mounted on the sun visors of all vehicles. Williamette claimed that the stickers were distracting to him while driving as well as "visually displeasing" and therefore removed them. District Judge David. R. Rosenthane allowed Williamette 18-days credit for time served and will allow for work release. Mr. Williamette had one prior criminal charge 4 years ago when he and his wife, Janice E. Williamette, were both charged with the removal of mattress warning stickers on their newly purchased king-sized bed. Both received 30-days probation and suspended sentences.

I did it once in a Corvette with a blow dryer to heat it up and used tweezers (to not burn your fingers) to pull it off. It came off clean, but I did the same in a VW and it left sticky residue behind. I'm not willing to risk it in the R1T.

Any one done this yet? I'm thinking about attempting it as I hate having any stickers.

Possible to cover with black sticker vs removing? I wouldnā€™t want to risk leaving a mess in the visor. Would lean towards finding black microfiber sticker and cover.
