Adapter Lock Issues, any solves?

Tried a Tesla charger this weekend with an adapter. Worked fine until the end of the charge but could not get the adapter released, despite the session having ended.
Seems as if there’s a current to magnetically attach & lock the adapter, but even after the session ended I could not for the life of me release the adapter.
Is it simply a matter of waiting, (it took 15mins to release), or am I such a newbie that there’s a trick to releasing the adapter at charge end?

To clarify, were you having trouble disconnecting the adapter from the truck? Or the cable from the adapter?

As above, (& thank-you both), using an A2Z Typhoon adapter. Very solid & built like a brick house, & also quite heavy, but could not for the life of me disengage it.
looks like there’s a wiggle & jiggle technique to disengage it. . .
