Many things are covered with the hitch and Yakima racks but what are factory options you would like to see.

Personally stow-able loading ramps that easily and securely are stored somewhere in the vehicle are high on my list.

Frunk Fridge
Retractable lighting bar?
Pony Keg insert for bed storage area. ;)
Compressor powered water cannon

What do you think?

Suggestions so far
Bed extender cage
Bed Mat
Bed shell
Bike Workstation - Gear Tunnel
Bin system Gear Tunnel
Bumpers and Rock Sliders
Camper Shell
Cover for back seats to protect them when taking additional gear or our furry friends.
Cover for Truck
Drop down door steps for easy getting in and out for those more vertically challenged.
Electric portable Heater
Empty storage bags for Gear tunnel door storage
Fridge for Frunk
Frunk Organizer
Frunk- Air compressor output
Gear tunnel pullout table Organizer
Gear Tunnel wash station - Similar to camp kitchen sink but for washing off sand at beach or muddy gear.
Leather storage bag
Lightbar/directional for camping? Retractable for aero?
Loading Ramps
Massage Seats
Microwave
Rear Window protector
Running boards
Screen for panoramic roof. (Retractable)
Scuba Tank holder - Gear Tunnel
Surge tank for air compressor
Tablet Mount for headrest

A cargo barrier for behind the 2nd row in the R1S is a safety must have, bonus if they make an optional dog gate to further split the cargo hold.

Optional matching spare 5th wheel (for R1S).

Leather storage bag - that fits nicely into the large storage opening below the dash between the Driver and passenger and easy grab and go bag.

Surge tank for air compressor - to fill tires faster when done with the trail. a 2.5 gallon one can shave off 60% of the time to fill tires. I hate having everyone waiting for me to fill tires at the end of the trail.

Fridge for Frunk
Frunk Organizer
Gear tunnel Pullout table Organizer
Gear Tunnel wash station - Similar to camp kitchen sink but for washing off sand at beach or muddy gear.

Electric portable Heater that attaches to cross bar or bed of truck and points to side of truck to warm your self or just you hands

Under bed storage organizer - if not getting the spare.

Empty storage bags for Gear tunnel door storage so you can store what ever you want.

Drop down door steps for easy getting in and out for those more vertically challenged. But robust ones that can take a hit not cheap plastic garbage you see on most trucks. like Rockslide engineering https://rockslideengineering.com/

additional trail lights

Cover for back seats to protect them when taking additional gear or our furry friends.

I will add it to the list but in my research most manufacturers eschew covers as they are prone to damaging the paint.

I might be wrong but they often cited "grinding" surface dirt into the finish...

You could be right, never used one. Right now with all the crap in my garage and the length of the truck, I do not believe it will fit. I do know a lot of folks with collectable cars, keep them covered when not garaged.

Me too, but I think those collectors have their cars showroom clean when they cover them and they are covered indoors so no wind or movement on the cover.

I would like an option to cover it as well.

A rubber bed mat. Toyota Tacoma's have been built for literally decades. And as a result have 100's of accessories from Toyota and third parties available. And if you go to any of the Tacoma forums similar to this one, the number 1 valued accessory is the

OEM bed mat. $85-100.
  • Protects the bed of the truck (even if composite).
  • Makes cleaning easier
  • Is thick enough to be cushioning
  • Thin and light enough to be flexible and therefore easy to handle when cleaning (not stiff)
  • Keeps stuff from sliding around and helps prevent breakage
  • Reduces noise
