I'm back again with another Dash Cam Review. @Redtiger saw my last one and how Macgyvered an interior cam for Uber and Lyft, so they offered to send one out that is better suited for rideshare. Thanks a lot redtiger!

Totally fair question. For me the dashcam is an extra layer of protection. And they're higher quality (usually). For license plates and stuff. Plus audio recording.

Especially with my gen 1. It basically has potato cams.

I've had 2 instances (one it Tesla and one in Rivian) where the built in dashcam features didn't catch an important moment that I wanted so that's when I started looking into dashcams.

The time lapse park features are really cool too. But I can understand if someone is happy with the built in dash capabilities. I went like 5 years that way and only had 2 issues.
