Poor service experience is Rivian's biggest risk right now.

Thanks for the insight. We actually got a call an hour ago to drop off at the service center for an engineer to take a look. I honestly do like the car and want to give Rivian a fair chance to fix it. Will provide more updates!Gen 2–
—My vehicle has lost 12 miles since putting my car in the office garage 10 floors below at 9:30 AM. It’s not consistent though. I parked at the airport for 3 days, an it only lost 1 mile.
—AC is practically dead. Vibrations from Gen2 pump. Today, it would not cool down less than 81, although set at 69. I believe it actually got hotter inside during my 20 minute ride to the office. I will be parking the car for now.
—Rivian SC to be here on Wednesday of this week. I am only 2 weeks into ownership.
—No issues with radio other than general quirkiness of the system as with all. I have lost my mirror settings on 3 occasions—but, not the last 5 days. I’ve received 3 software updates and think I am on .32
—Everything else I am encountering falls more into the—come on guys—why did you design it that way. But, one can point fault at every car on the market with something quirky or weird and every car has a learning curve if it has any decent technology.
I have been communicating with someone higher up the chain who had been responding to me quickly and we spoke by phone. I sent him the pictures of my AC settings today. I know he has forwarded them to engineering folks as he did the general sound vibrating and fan noise. As they have promoted the heat pump re-design so much, I would think the guys responsible for designing it have to be feeling the heat.
I’ll update you on the heat pump later this week. For me, I can accept many a weird thing on a car and for damn sure I could give you the list on from Audi’s to Range Rover. But, I can’t say I’ve ever owned a car where the AC went 2 weeks into purchase.
There are, to be clear, many amazing things they are doing.
Would you mind uploading the recording of the AC noise here? I've been very curious about the Gen 2 Heat pump sound so many have mentionedGen 2–

How many is "vast majority" ballpark?Something is faulty with your car, which makes sense given there is also no sound, lol. Sorry. Only one that can fix this is your service center.
Vast majority of current 2025 owners report near 0% daily drain either on this forum, Reddit, or Facebook.
Is it hot where you are?. Lately where we live it has been well over 105 and the fan runs quiet a bit, so if that is the case with you.....that might be your answer.Hello! We picked up our 2025 R1S on 6/29 and have experienced a multitude of issues that have not been addressed by Rivian and hoping to get some insights here.
Issue #1: the battery drains an average of 10% per day sitting on the driveway. Anyone else experience that?
I know there is a setting in the vehicle that you can set to turn off while at home.Issue #2: proximity is off and the car still unlocks itself randomly. I had to turn off bluetooth on my phone.
Did you do a soft reset or a hard reset?Issue #3: There is no audio since this past Friday. No radio, navigation sound, turn signal sound - nothing. No sound.
Nah - we are in the low 80s. Rivian support walked us through multiple soft and hard resets. Nothing works. It’s sitting at the service center now, waiting for an engineer to inspect. Is it hot where you are?. Wow, well my gen 1 quad R1T has surprised me since the new update. I’ve actually had the same range and percentage after a whole day and night sitting in the garage unplugged over the weekend. I Thought maybe they finally got that bug squashed."Class leading low vampire drain" is what waysem said. What a complete joke. The new software for the gen1 seems worse to me as well. I unplugged my car at 70% yesterday and this morning it's lost 8 miles of range.
Depends on where you live, the Cleveland service center is awesome and they have been booking stuff at about a week out.Poor service experience is Rivian's biggest risk right now.
Did service walk you through a Hard Reset and a deep sleep? Park the Rivian at home, make sure all key fob is far away, close your Rivian app, turn your blue tooth off, put your phone in the house...you get the idea...then do a hard reset...wait at least 30 min. but Rivian has said longer if possible. It helped us on our last 22 R1T. Worth a try if your appointment isn't till Oct.Rivian support walked us through multiple full resets with no luck. Waiting for a service date as they are backed up in CA till October.
On #2 once you set your home location in the r1 ui you can then turn off prox lock at the home location. Have you tried that yet?Hello! We picked up our 2025 R1S on 6/29 and have experienced a multitude of issues that have not been addressed by Rivian and hoping to get some insights here.

We have tried multiple resets on the car and none of the issues have been fixed. Rivian customer service is the worst - still waiting for responses. What is the point in investing in a pricey car if I have to turn off the functionality? Super frustrated and would appreciate any insights or similar experiences.
