Might be an update before 2025.6.

ElectriFi shows 2025.3.0 released to an R1T for testing on 2/16.

No release shared yet.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I would be totally happy with fewer releases, maybe even quarterly ones, if they would QA them more.
I wouldn't care if there are fewer trying to add stuff, but as somebody with "software challenged" vehicle I think they should be sending out fixes as soon as they can.

If they were to QA it better, there would be less need for last minute patches.
2024 alone had several. 2024.19 had like 4 revisions they sent out publicly to fix the regen they broke on most of the dual motors.

They had to clawback the Halloween release on the gen2’s when they realized it could disable tail/brake lights when you drive.

You could even argue the latest release we are all running is a bug fix release… that they had to revise and repush post release.

I’m not even getting into 2023 when one update bricked a bunch of cars.

All I’m saying is the cadence they are following of every 4-5 weeks might be a little too exciting for the way they are staffed.

I come from 25 years in the software industry… Rivian is not the first and won’t be the last SW company to skimp on QA.
I’m just saying they could do it better. Maybe start a beta test program with users with every configuration. Make them sign NDA’s to keep upcoming features or fails off of YouTube… slow the release cycle by 2-3 weeks.

The end result would be less buggy. Then you can focus your engineers on the new features more.

I think a good solution would be an external Beta sign up. There are many of us like myself that would love to get our hands on the updates a week or two early and accept the inherent risk. Then after the public Beta testers have had the software for a bit send out the final version to those who are a bit more risk adverse. Or if you have concerns about the software just wait a week or two to do your update.

The last update was almost entirely bug fixes/performance updates. I noticed a huge difference in infotainment performance after that

So.. just putting that out there...
