This thread has gone all over the place. Makes for informational/entertaining reading šŸ˜. Anyone with recent ā€œnotesā€ for the 2024.35 update? Iā€™ve read comments here and on Reddit that .35 has issues. Iā€™m still on .31.01 and donā€™t want to update based on what Iā€™ve been reading. Thoughts?

I would be curious what issues you have read about.

No one has it yet as it is only on the test fleet and pretty sure they would not be reporting test results on forums.

Sorry, I misread a thread on Reddit. People complaining about various issues but all actuallyrelated to the last update vs 2024.35.00 (which was the title of the thread).

I saw it.. in drive controls, it gives a side view graphic of the vehicle with it going up or down when requested. While it is doing that, it gives an approximate height in inches of the approximate height mode you selected. That goes away a few seconds after it's new height level is completed.
Nice, one visual Iā€™ve actually thought would be cool would be a suspension travel or position screen. We have level sensors on each wheel. Would be cool to see articulation.

Our 2006 Land Rover LR3 with air suspension did this on the off-road screen. It was cool to see articulation at each wheel while traversing obstacles.

I hope with the Gear Guard update comes fixes for the last update. I get notifications of events with the motion cam, but then nothing shows up under recordings anymore.

I filed a report with service through the Rivian app. about the last OTA breaking my Gear Guard motion detection, and got a call last week from them specifically to let me know that the new OTA will be fixing the Gear Guard bug. Thought that was kinda cool.

Hopefully that is the case... I have a mobile service for the gear guard not working and loud A/C compressor with vibration in the pedal issues Kinda got used to the noise, but since they issued a TSB to supposedly fix this, I put in a request.

Just one note. Apple Music still has bugs. I tried it out on a short drive today. It initially seemed more responsive and behaved well, but I only got through two songs before it crashed outright. It even went so far as to take out my ability to play Spotify or adjust the volume with the wheel. An infotainment reboot brought it back and it was fine the for the 8 minute drive home, but still, not so great.

The volume seems to be improved though, meaning the gain isn't cranked so high as to make 80% of the volume adjustment range too high for a human to stand. For example, I had "Bullet in the Head" cranked up to 19 on Apple Music when it crashed. Pretty loud, but what I'd expect for ~2/3 of the way to max. Maybe they fixed this in .31 and I just didn't notice since Apple Music was completely unusable in that version.

Besides volume I haven't had any issues in either of my gen1s. Yours is crashing often?

This is probably the first crash I've had that took out Spotify and volume control as well, but not the first crash of Apple Music. That has been unreliable since its debut. I just gave up on it for a while.
