I know many folks that have the R1S on order much preferred the 20" All-terrain wheels from the R1T, vs the 20" option on the R1S.

Just noticed in the configurator today that you can now option the R1T-style 20" wheels on the R1S. This should make a number of folks quite happy.

Thanks for the info. Jumped right in to take a look at how they look on the configurator.

The bigger question will be: Will they count as a "free" upgrade for the Launch Edition.....

If you're a weirdo, you also can now get the R1S-style 20" wheels on the R1T (without opting for the dark version). I don't think that was an option before.

Anxiously awaiting EPA range numbers for these various wheel options. Maybe Rivian does have some Earth Day news for us tomorrow. ?

Does not look like this is a "free" option based on the configurator. For my R1T LE, looks like a $1,800 upcharge . . .

I believe they have made several updates to the configurator including more realistic color renderings. Also the renderings now show the camp kitchen if you add it which I don't think was there before.

Yep, same here. For my R1S LE, it looks like an 1800 dollar upcharge too.

Even the illusive Launch Green? I will be checking it now!

Great catch!!

It's obscene how excited I am by this. Was the single largest reservation I had about the whole thing. Now just to hope they don't obliterate range.

Awesome! those were my preference for the R1S for the M/S rated tires. Thanks for the heads up.

R1S Launch Edition
Ugh, it is unfair to upcharge for this on a launch edition. Either option is free if paired with the respective vehicle, so why charge if we want the other design??

Here’s a plan:
1. Get your “included” 20 inch wheels.
2. Find someone on the forums in your area who also prefers the alternate design, and has the alternate vehicle compared to yours.
3. Meet up and swap wheels (and tires if similarly used).
4. Spend the $1,800 you both saved on beer ?.
