Besides ascetics, any material reason for the higher cost compared to the other rims? Really like the look of them in your new titan color.

I appreciate your interest and am happy to provide more insight into the recent changes.

We've recently made some adjustments to our prices. This is in part due to our commitment to using higher-quality materials and enhancing our manufacturing processes. Our focus remains on delivering products that are not only superior in quality but also meet your expectations.

We still changing a lot in our operation trying to find better solutions such as better packaging, to make sure each rim is protected well and will be delivered with no damage.

Additionally, starting from January 1st, there will be a slight increase in the prices across all our designs. This decision isn't just about covering increased costs; it's a strategic step towards accelerating our growth and expanding our product line, including exciting new offerings like wheel and tire packages. We believe these changes will allow us to serve you better and bring a wider variety of high-quality products to our catalog.

This increase will not affect all pre-orders or orders placed before 1/1/24.

Despite the price adjustments, I'm pleased to inform you that our prices will continue to be at least 35% lower compared to similar products in the market. We are dedicated to providing you with exceptional value and quality at competitive prices.

I hope this addresses your concerns.

More intricate designs also require more machine time. More passes of the tool head.

Wish that Atomic had said the same thing. It just sounds like all of their prices will go up and this is just the first for all of their designs. No judgement on Atomic as I know forged wheels are expensive. It's supply and demand.

Manufacturing and raw material costs have gone up globally. So have transport costs. Forged wheels are expensive to begin with, regardless of current economic climate. If prices are too high, good thing participation is not mandatory.

Very sharp. Thanks for confirming specs and OEM details up front. Very fair price for forged set too.

Titans look tremendous.

Any one able to educate on the 20x9" VS the 20x8.5" difference between this AW09 and the original AW01? (besides the 1/2 inch of course :))

You wouldn't happen to be able to incorporate something *like* a method's bead grip? E.G. a more aggressive lip?

This might be my new favorite aftermarket Rivian wheel. Nice job. Looking forward to seeing pics on actual vehicles.

We are still growing and actively adding new designs, probably we will add something with a more aggressive lip :)

Thanks - didn't realize that was the offset since that number is usually in mm.
There are no rules on which units of measure must be used to communicate offset. It depends on the market or the manufacturer's prerogative—between metric and imperial. And even if units are not indicated in writing, it's pretty easy to tell which system you are looking at. For instance, since offset is measured either outboard (positive offset) or inboard (negative offset) from the center plane of the wheel barrel... it's highly unlikely for a wheel to have 48" of offset; even for a jumbo jet's landing gear.

20" x 9" vs 20" x 8.5"... 20" is wheel diameter. The other number is width of the wheel barrel. All tires have a range of recommended barrel width. And when comparing wheels, the offset (or plane at which the wheel is mounted to the car) is your fixed common reference point. Line this plane up to see where the inboard and outboard rims end up as offset changes.

AW01
20x8.5"
+45

AW09
20x8.5"
+48

Because AW01 has 3mm less positive offset, that means the distance from edge of the outboard rim to mounting surface of wheel is 3 mm more than that of AW09. This means the AW01 would poke out 3 mm more than AW09. If both wheels were shod with same brand/model/size tire and inflated equally, the tire on the AW01 would theoretically poke out as much... 3mm. 25.4mm = 1". 3mm equates to 0.11811" (i.e. hardly perceptible).

Cliff notes: Less positive offset means more poke. More negative offset means more poke. This gets a little more complicated when you vary barrel width at the same time, but it's not difficult. Sketching simple diagrams help with visualization. Or, just use this online offset calculator.
