Correct, when they powder coat, they strip the wheel to the bare metal, then apply the powder coat and bake it onLooks great!

I have powder coated my R1T wheels and have driven over 4K on them and don't see any issues with my 20"AT.I have read that the powder coating process weakens the wheel because of the oven heat.

These do look great. Now just need to get those center caps painted to match.Just got my wheels back from shop. Went gloss black on the factory off-road 20’s. Snail Motorsports in North Las Vegas did an amazing job!
Looks like a sticker, or painted on. Could easily be replicated in vinyl on a powder coated wheel.Looks great!

I've heard this for [literally] decades. The issue is the "bake" temp, the oven can be a much higher temp than is necessary for powder coating and the excessive temps can (according to SMEs), __potentially__ reduce the strength of aluminum.Where did you hear that?
