Just got my crossbars in today. They seem a touch loose, will have to look into how to get them on here tighter, but I threw a 1up rack on top of the bed to get a photo with my longest bike, so everyone can see how it fits. It's not terrible but I think I will end up modifying the rack so the front can't open too far.

Now we just need some dry weather so I can go ride!

Thanks for the pics! This is helpful as I'm looking at 1up racks.

Now if someone can also share how a 1up single and double hitch racks would look with the truck......

Thanks for this, this is my likely setup. Can the rack be slid any further back to let the front open more?

Great, thanks for posting this with both wheels on the bike, looks way less cantilevered over the rear than feared. 1UP makes great racks that are lighter than most.

What size frame is your MTBR? 29’r or other wheel size? Head angle and front fork travel? Sorry for bothering you with these latter nuances but combined will push the rear tire further back for many trail bikes. Cheers.

I wish I could. That being said, when I get mine, I plan to go with bikes above the bed. I'm sick & tired of backing up with my view obstructed by bikes & one of our cars(Discovery) beeping at me like I'm about to kill someone. Not sure I've I'll go 1up (thanks for posting!) or a fork mounted rack.

It sure could. I just didn't want it to hang past the end of the truck at all.

This is a 27.5+ All-Trail. Medium frame, I believe 130/130

I have a two/three/four place but the 2" hitch is on a different rack. I can swap the hitch out later tonight. I have pieces to use just a single add-on as a static rack but I'd have to find them.

Thanks for the post!
Of your bike is a medium 27.5 and not a super slack head tube angle, my large 29er still might be tight. Ugh.

I have a 1UP bike rack, but it’s a hitch mount. How did this one mount?

It's essentially the same thing but the rack is one continuous extrusion instead of two halves. T slot on the bottom to a cross support that goes into t-nuts.
