If you ever wondered which AT tire should not be on your list if considering efficiency, then the Nitto Terra Grappler G3 should NOT be an option. My lifetime efficiency on my large quad R1T on 21’s was at 2.5 and wanted to have AT tires for our February trip to Yosemite so I end up switching to @Atomic Wheels AW09 20”.
Reset my tripmeter B to reflect my new wheels and tires and initially getting 2.2 but after over 4 miles it went down to 1.9 mi/kwh. I just got 1,000 miles with mostly mixed city and Hwy driving with only one long trip to Yosemite from the Bay Area and currently sitting at 1.7 mi/kWh
I have no complains the way it handles the road wet or dry but haven’t tried it on snow yet. There is some noise as you expect on an AT tire but not annoying. Overall, despite the hit on efficiency, it looks better than the OE 21’s.
