That would have been 0001EX, not 000001. Although in reality it probably didn't have an official VIN because Rivian only applied for their WMI within the past year.

I think you're right. The one vehicle I checked in Normal (the Launch Green one pictured here) had the EX suffix in the VIN. I'm assuming every vehicle that rolls anywhere must have a VIN, even if headed right from the assembly line to crash-testing. Those earlier Long Way Up models were pre-production, so unless there's another suffix available, those were probably branded with the "EX", as well.

at least its body will be used for SCIENCE
