Crazy to think I placed my reservation in July 2021 and still have no idea when (or IF) I'll be receiving my R1S, yet my Lucid Air GT (that I ordered in May 2022) was delivered in Sept. 22 .. AND my Fisker Ocean One (ordered in Apr. 2022) is going into production in March and will likely be here before hear back from Rivian ... Frustrating!
will you cancel your order if the ocean reaches you before the R1S?

Cancelling our order is up to my wife (the R1S is supposed to replace her aging Sequoia)

The Ocean was ordered to replace the MY that we sold last year.
I thought this was a climate change joke

that makes sense. If the new sequoia wasn’t such a gas guzzler I’d look at it myself 💀

If you think the new one is a gas guzzler .. u should see the old one (we've had a few of them over the years, and the engine/consumption have always been the same .. crappy!)

I guess knowing the volumes that Lucid and Fisker are doing... What does that mean about demand and their order backlogs compared to Rivian? Also, I am jealous that you are able to give all the brands a try. Stinks that one won't be in your garage in the next few months, but in the meantime you get to drive a Lucid and soon a Fisker.

Has anyone that made changes to their configuration after the October delivery guidance, received a new delivery window? I know they said January, so probably shouldn’t start looking for it until late February.

The last update was late October, I'd expect the next update to be late January too.

I changed paint to a paid color and added the under shield in the hopes of moving my Jan 2021 order out of 2024 delivery. Fingers crossed, but I am expecting to be moved to 2025.

I am an October 2021 order and had Q4 2023 so you would have been later due to location (?) so not sure what the impact will be of your changes but we will know soon.

Red R1T, large pack, adventure, tonneau.

What they dropped: full size spare, manual tonneau (still on order but won't be on vehicle until March), all weather mats. They dropped the full size spare ("you'll be able to order from the gear shop at some future date." = "we need every wheel and tire we've got for production"). The mats are a known issue as is the tonneau.

What I dropped: max pack (will likely show up on the same day as Elon's cybertruck). Once I dropped this from my order, I moved up immediately.

Ordered 8/15/21
Confirmed on 12/30/22. 6/8 of steps done, VIN given to me at that time. VIN was valid (yes, I verified)
En route to Minneapolis SC 1/4/23 (per guide). "I'd expect a week out" (per guide)
At Minneapolis 1/9/23

Still waiting for a call.

BTW, the lot at the Minneapolis SC had about 20 vehicles (about 1/3 were R1S). Most of them were silver, gray, black, or launch green. No reds, no blues.

Any optimistic predictions appreciated.
