if that is the case, then actually it's quite likely they would hit 10-11k in Q4 if the parts come in fast enough. They would only need modest gains over the current 2 shift output to do it - meaning if the existing staff could pump out 500-600 more vehicles than current (around 4200 each), and the 3rd shift could do half that or slightly more - they'd be there. They said starting some time October right?
And given current numbers that actually looks like a quite feasible ramp - again, it all comes down to can they get the parts that fast, but assuming they can, that seems like a really impressive first full year of production, leading into a significantly better 2nd oneAssuming they hit 11k in Q4 and 15k in Q1 2023, they could easily be on track to produce 60k+ vehicles in 2023.
That's looking pretty promising.
What I've learned from Elon is that the big lie is the way to goGoing from 7k to 100k in Q4 would indeed, be impressive

I thought they said November, but I'm not 100% sure of that. They said starting some time October right?
Winning !!!!Looks like I might be one of them! Just got off the phone with my Guide. Truck is in Normal, and should know EOW if it ships. I’m in the bay area CA, so 4 weeks by train followed by QA …
Finally, good newsSupply chain overall is really improving. Shipping costs from China are much less than a year ago. So Rivian may finally have predictability in receiving parts. I assume actual assembly has never been the bottleneck.
Ging from 7K to 100K in Q4 should normally be very doable. They have been at for a year.
Easy Peasy. Just think of all the time they are saving by removing one magnet and the 12v in the Frunk.Rivian increased production 67% in Q3 to 7,363 vehicles. To hit its target of building 25K vehicles this year, it will need to increase production 45% in Q3 to at least 10,687 vehicles.
Put it on a chart, so its pretty much guaranteed now.it will need to increase production 45% in Q3 to at least 10,687 vehicles.
