I need a set of tall towers for the rear of my R1T for carrying long lumber. Need the rear racks to be same height as racks on the cab. I can not find those racks on the yakima site. How did you modify to fit the rear rails?
has anyone been part of the process to approach Tesla and ask for a change of availability. I contacted the Bethel Tourism Board and town manager who were both willing to help, but did not know the contact at Tesla or the process involved. thoughts?
Re. Bethel, Maine Tesla level 3 chargers: listed as multiple available but "incompatible" with Rivian's (?). No similar label such as "needs adapter". Anyone understand why certain Tesla chargers are "incompatible"? Has anyone used this set of chargers? Driving in norther new england is a...
In Maine, too. Keep it closed all winter. Snow is not an issue, just sweep it off, but our recent freezing rain would make me pause before asking it to open if ice on the deck. Luckily have a heated garage, so just wait an overnight cycle to charge and thaw.
re. #5 and 6
5. yes, if you try to charge at the destination with an ambient temperature battery; battery with be slow to charge until the truck heats the battery. battery warms quickly. After battery is warm, charging is normal.
6. significant drop off in range at -20 F. not 50%, but...

love my tonneau...works great below zero... all the time... BUT, i keep the truck in garage when not out on road trips to grafton notch, crawford notch . wished there was ice melting headlights, too A very good winter truck (I owned 4 generations of tacoma's for comparison)
no offense intended, but data is sparse below 20 degrees ... 1 data point (?). Interesting your conclusion that all purpose would have the same battery consumption as conserve at low temperatures... thoughts?
i always start with a warm battery, but always start home with ambient temperature battery. should be able to figure out driving range with cold battery (?)
took a road trip for ice climbing in western Maine. no local level 3 charging available... temprature 7 degrees F. charged to 99% (350 miles in conserve mode) arrived at destination 120 miles distance with battery at 46%... not enough to get home! my question is...is there a graph or other data...
