  1. Tire/Wheel Conundrum

The offset of the wheels you're seeing at tire rack are 1-2 inches different than the rivian stock offset. YMMV on fitment of those wheels and associated rub on your truck. I believe others have done a lot of experimenting with different offsets.
  2. Kayak Transport

Range Industries badwater rack - highly recommend over the rivian crossbars: https://range-industries.com/products/rivian-r1t-low-rooftop-tent
  3. Kayak Transport

Made this bed extender out of aluminum extrusion and use the factory crossbars on the roof with range industries crossbars on the bed.
  4. How many miles to expect on the odometer for a new delivery?

I had intermittent "service suspension" messages and some extreme vampire drain. Both issues were resolved after a service center visit. Neither of these issues were related to the mileage at delivery. The problem was a short in the main 12v harness and replacement of one of the modules. I...
  5. Almost finished with mods: PPF, ceramic coating, tints, mud flaps, sun roof shade (& more to come)

Just so everyone is aware, this tonneau is not carbon fiber. The CF is tape as far as I know. The developer of the tonneau posted more info on facebook. I posted a link to his post to the rivian FB group earlier in this thread but it appears admin deleted my post.
  6. Show us your Mountain/Gravel/Road Bike MTB - Rivian Style!

Sorry no pics but: Yeti ASR-C (last year of the frame) - too much fun to retire Specialized Diverge - SRAM force with the suspension steerer tube or whatever Specialized calls it Canyon Endurace - SRAM Red model basically stock
  7. Adding cupholders to R1T?

I tried to share it on thingiverse but had issues with my account so just threw it on my google drive to make it available. Thanks for posting it there and now that it's freely available there I'll remove it from google drive and edit my previous post.
  8. 2023.02.05 update caused bandwidth issues with our household internet

I've spent quite a bit of time tracking the network activity of my truck and can definitively say that the truck doesn't transfer data at a rate that would effect your wired internet speed. At best the truck uploads at hundreds of kilobit speeds. What you're likely seeing is either crowded...
  9. 2 weeks after switching model to R1T, I got an email !

I switched from S to T in early November and was config confirmed within 5 days and took delivery before the end of the month. Miracles do happen.
  10. Custom Cab High Crossbars

~500 with tax and shipping IIRC. You might be able to find the parts cheaper but it's nice that 8020.net is a one stop for everything you need. Certainly you could find nuts and studs cheaper on amazon. I haven't actually used it yet but hopefully soon. I can't stress enough how much I like...
  11. Vampire Drain Relating to Frunk Trim -- my solution to reduce drain %

As I said in my original post, YMMV and just because this worked for me doesn't mean it will for you. Since dropping my truck at the SC yesterday multiple items have been added to the service list without any suggestion from me. The new items include: - Hood closure panels - cargo area...
  12. Vampire Drain Relating to Frunk Trim -- my solution to reduce drain %

Yes, that's the vendor OUI for the manufacturer of the wifi adapter being used by Rivian. Coincidentally, my EA home charger uses the same vendor. The traffic from the truck isn't really interesting as it's all TLS encrypted https. Most of the data is sent to a host named something like...
  13. Vampire Drain Relating to Frunk Trim -- my solution to reduce drain %

I've used various tools, primarily I was monitoring the mac address table in my switch to see if it was active on the network and if so I would check an ntopng instance I have installed on my router to see what hosts it was sending data to and how much data it was sending.
  14. Vampire Drain Relating to Frunk Trim -- my solution to reduce drain %

Always in the driveway, always unplugged from charger, temp ranges 30s-50s.
  15. Vampire Drain Relating to Frunk Trim -- my solution to reduce drain %

I'm not sure I would go so far as hypothesis but it may be the rather narrow opening for loop going into the latch causing interference or additional pressure on the latch. Honestly I had zero expectations when I took the trim piece off in the first place and really only initially took it off...
  16. Vampire Drain Relating to Frunk Trim -- my solution to reduce drain %

Similar post is buried in one of the numerous vampire drain threads but it was suggested that this may merit a fresh thread so here goes... I, like many have experienced pretty nasty vampire drain on my truck since taking delivery at the end of November. Initially I didn't think much of it and...
